I needed to enable sensors on a server with FC3 (Fedora Core 3) installed. I wasn’t able to find a quick howto, and spent some time figuring out.
From memory, here’s how I did it:
- yum install lm_sensors
- sensors-detect
- service lm_sensors start
Now you should be able to run sensors (by typing sensors). This will show you various information about your server – CPU voltage, temperatures, etc.
Hope it helps.
I had my sensors got disabled due to some reasons while I was away and preparing for 642-642 exam. I had another exam on schedule but then I had to look for a solution to my sensors before proceeding to the 70-294, the next exam. Thanks for your post, it helped me fixing my sensors.
