Handy tools for explaining cold weather to climate change deniers.

Climate change deniers tend to think a single cold day, or a stretch of several cold days in a row, is "proof that global warming is a hoax."

The idea that "cold weather proves there is no climate change" reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of science and the of the difference between local and global trends. In many cases, it also reflects an emotionally-motivated willful disbelief in climate change.

How can you even start to have a meaningful conversation with a person like that? Or at least explain the evidence in terms a change-denier can understand?

This handy guide provides some pithy one-liners (and an XKCD cartoon) that may help you to explain the evidence to a willfully ignorant climate-change-denier.
