Uncle_Benji adalah seorang blogger yang berhasil mendapatkan refund sebesar US$ 200 (!!) dari HP, karena dia tidak jadi menggunakan Windows Vista di laptopnya yang seharga US$ 599. Ini berarti bahwa dia jadi hanya membayar US$ 399 (Rp 3.7 juta !) untuk laptop HP dv6815nr tersebut – dengan spec sebagai berikut :
- AMD Turion (TM) 64 X2 (2.0GHz) dual-core processor
- 160GB hard drive
- 3 GB of memory (!!)

Iya, itulah ruginya kita…. sudah membayar mahal (US$ 100+), tidak terpakai, dan uangnya tidak bisa kembali 🙁

Karena mereka bisa saja bilang “NO, we cannot refund it”.
Kenapa?
Karena EULA nya memungkin hal tersebut. Baca salah satu komen-nya:
1)The terms of the EULA that YOU showed us says clearly:
“… contact the manufacturer or installer to determine their return policy for a refund or credit.”
Which means you are to call up HP and ASK them what their return policy is. It does NOT mean that HP is bound by this EULA sentence to give you a refund.
You acted like a whiny spoiled kid ‘waaaah, give me money, I want money…’, and they paid you off to get rid of you, rather than just telling you to get lost.
