Materi Workshop @ Timor Leste – gratis + copyleft

Beberapa hari yang lalu saya diundang oleh Ristek untuk berkunjung ke Timor Leste selama 5 hari. Disana saya bersama Pak Onno Purbo memberikan workshop / seminar selama 3 hari. Untuk acara tersebut, saya membuat 4 buah dokumen training / tutorial.

Semua dokumen tersebut saya buat dengan lisensi GPL v2. Artinya, Anda bebas menggunakannya untuk kebutuhan Anda sendiri. Termasuk memodifikasinya untuk keperluan Anda.

Terlampir adalah dokumen-dokumen ybs :

Dokumen ke 4 dibuat oleh Hasan (Ardelindo.com) dengan lisensi GPL. Sebetulnya dokumen tersebut membahas Open Office v2. Karena lisensinya bebas, maka saya jadi bisa meng update dokumen tersebut untuk versi 3, melakukan beberapa editing, beberapa revisi – dan lalu menyediakannya kembali untuk Anda sekalian.

Dengan membebaskan dokumen / artikel, yaitu melisensikannya secara bebas (GPL atau setara), maka dokumen tersebut seakan-akan menjadi hidup. Dia jadi bisa diakses oleh siapa saja, bermanfaat oleh siapa saja, dan bahkan jadi bisa terus relevan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman.
Terimakasih kepada Hasan yang sudah menginspirasi saya untuk membebaskan dokumen-dokumen saya sendiri juga.

    Nah, media massa melihat ada kesempatan untuk menaikkan oplah, lalu memanfaatkan ini 🙂
    Kejadian tersebut kemudian dibahas dengan sangat berlebih-lebihan, dan dengan bahasa yang sangat bombastis.
    .
    Cuma ya jadinya begitu, kita jadi terpancing emosional. Akibatnya, jadi sulit untuk melihat masalahnya dengan lebih berimbang.

    Kalau sampai kita jadi perang dan saling bunuh-membunuh karenanya, wah….. jangan sampai deh.

    Misalnya; saya ketemu dengan komunitas seniman di Dili, lulusan dari Jogja, yang membuat sanggar secara swadaya — dan lalu mengirimkan anak didik yang berbakat untuk kuliah ke Jogja. Secara swadaya juga. Wow.
    .
    Lucu sekali cerita-ceritanya, dan sangat inspiratif. Misalnya dia cerita bagaimana sebentar lagi akan musim pernikahan di Dili, jadi mereka sudah siap-siap untuk kebanjiran order sebagai cameraman & photographer. Nah, perhitungan mereka simple — 2x pesanan liputan pernikahan = beasiswa 1 tahun kuliah untuk 1 orang 🙂

    Memang kalau orang baik itu akan selalu ketemu jalannya ya. Mereka walaupun kadang hidup susah, tapi tetap gembira. Dan, yang paling penting, mereka tetap bisa bermanfaat untuk sesama.

    Dan kita ketawa bersama-sama menyambut mereka, komunitas seniman Dili, untuk mulai menggunakan software Open Source. Well done 🙂
